HOW CAN I REACH BTWTUNING LLC?

To schedule a remote tune or dyno tune, please send a text message to our scheduling line at (480) 900-7506‬.

For inquiries about your current BTWTuning LLC tune or to place an order, please email us at sales@btwtuning.com.

Please remember to only use one method of communication, as multiple messages regarding the same issue will not speed up our response time. We respond to messages and emails in the order in which we receive them, from oldest to newest.

WHY IS MY ORDER TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED?

BTWTuning LLC is a small business with only two employees, and all of our products are made to order. We take pride in ensuring that every product we produce is of the highest quality, which can sometimes result in longer production times than expected. If your order is taking longer than the estimated production time listed under the product description, please contact us via email or Instagram, and we will be happy to provide an estimate of when your order will ship.

DO I NEED ECUTEK OR UPREV?

The answer to this question depends on the year of your car. If your car was manufactured between 2003 and 2008, you will need UpRev. If your car was manufactured in 2009 or later, you will need EcuTek. At BTWTuning LLC, we prefer to use EcuTek on newer cars due to its advanced programming and flexibility.

WHY ISN'T MY FLAME MAP WORKING?

To activate your flame map, make sure you are on Map 2. Then, accelerate your car to a high RPM (6000+), release the throttle, and slowly press the gas pedal as the RPMs come down. Please note that producing flames requires a specific technique, and it will not happen simply by revving the car. Practice makes perfect! Optimal flames may not be achieved in vehicles equipped with OEM mufflers.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY OIL?

For vehicles that are frequently driven hard or use flame maps regularly, we recommend an oil change every 2500-3000 miles to prevent oil dilution, which can cause internal engine damage if left unaddressed.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MY CAR BEFORE GETTING A TUNE?

Before bringing your car to BTWTuning LLC for a tune, please change the oil and  make sure your spark plugs are fresh. For NA builds with the VQ35DE engines, we recommend NGK 3672 spark plugs, while for boosted HR, VHR, and VR38 engines, we recommend OEM GTR spark plugs. For VR30DDTT engines, please consult your Infiniti dealer for spark plugs. It is not advisable to buy injectors or spark plugs from online auction sites like eBay or Amazon as they are often counterfeit and may create problems during the tuning procedure.

Note: If you drive a Nissan VQ engine manufactured between 2007 and 2014, be aware that worn oil gallery gaskets can cause oil pressure loss and destroy your engine bearings. Please make sure to check your oil pressure at idle, your vehicle should have at least 20 psi of oil pressure at a warm idle (~700 rpm).
